Razr Maxx touch screen issue

I have had my razr for about a week and I have noticed that when I touch to type a message or anything using the virtual keyboard that it isn't calibrated very well. I looked all through the phone to see if there was a way to calibrate it myself. Any help is appreciated.

Getting tired of sending out cryptic messages,

I don't have an answer, but I was wondering about this myself, I saw nothing in the manual or phone settings about touchscreen calibration.

I thought i've seen this setting in my Droid X before but with the software change they may have Removed it as onthe Razr though you can go to settings > Applications > Manage Applications >Select All Muti-touch Keyboard an Clear the Cache > Clear Data > then force stop an that might Help. But as seeing a setting i am seeing it on my two phones an i could have it on my Incredible but i sold that phone.

Update: You might try using another Keyboard from the Market Like Smart Keyboard They have it in a Free or Paid Version an this is the Keyboard that Wildman Preferred on his Droids an i assume he still is using it. B33

I might try the third party keyboard because it is getting really annoying.  I am not coordinated enough to use swipe and maybe they will fix the calibration problem in the future. It not a big enough problem to make me say the phone is crap, it is just more of an annoyance.

I'm not a swype person either.  I find my hand is in the way of my eye seeing where I want to go so I end up going slower than if I just typed.  I like Swiftkey X which works on a predictive technology and gets better the longer you use it at predicting what you are probably wanting to say.  Sometimes I don't have to type a whole sentence - I just follow it's next suggestion because it's what I was going to say.  Which is a little scary, in a way.

But to answer your question directly if you have gone into the Language & keyboard settings and don't see what you want, maybe another keyboard is worth trying.

I have tried Swiftkey X  and Smart Keyboard, and although I like the predictive text better on Swiftkey X, I like the Iphone like keyboard on Smart Keyboard which helped put some space between the keys making it easier to type with my Fascinate. Both have free versions you can try out first in the market.
