I have a Razr Droid phone email account set up as Corporate Sync using Outlook 2010 and Exchange Server 2003. Outlook emails sync fine as well as outlook calendar. However contacts will NOT sync. Verizon tech provided workaround - export csv contact file to @gmail.com and bring in Razr thorugh google contacts. However, after 45 minutes of troubleshoot....NOTHING! Motorola needs to address contact sync issue with MR1 update.
Any ideas??????

You shouldn't need it but you can try it. There is a 30 day trial on it. In the settings there is an option for Exchange 2003,2007 and Active Sync. Try Active Sync first then Exchange 2003 if that doesn't work. I am guessing it is an issue with the server itself. Also make sure secure connection is enabled in corporate sync.

Need to check the permissions on Exchange to make sure you are allowed to sync Contacts.

If you're receiving email you're doing better than I. My Razr won't connect at all with our Exchange Server. If I can't get work email, calendar, and contacts, I can't have Android 2.2.3. It's not optional for me to get work data. I installed a third party app recommended by others online called Touchdown and it won't work either. There's a ton of people out there this has happended to since they upgraded from 2.2.2. Wish I'd known this before I bought this phone yesterday. Still working on a solution; not giving up yet.

I will look into settings on my exchange server tomorrow but if "contacts sync" was not already authorized, why does by remote laptop outlook able to sync contacts? Is it different? I do know my server is set for mobile athorization etc (POP3, IMAP4). But I will verify just to make sure if there is an additional setting somewhere.

If you go to accounts, general setting and make sure contacts are checked. I have all contacts and tasks, calendar and email. You might uncheck contacts and recheck it.

Sorry, tried that as well, but no luck. VZW tech believes Motorola might be aware of issue and might address in first update MR-1 due early Dec. I have tried everything, have read every google search etc but nothing has worked! But if you have any other ideas, keep em coming!

It sounds like Active sync and Exchange 2003. In Touchdown look under account there is a drop down box you can change it to Exchange 2003 and see if that helps. Is the Exchange 2003 patched to current?
