New Razor is Dead

My one month old razr discarged in 2 hours yesterday morning. I charged it and it worked yesterday. Today it won't even turn on. It was on charge all night after I let it run down. The person at the store said they would have one shipped to me within 5 days. Ok, now I have no phone service at all. Should have kept my flip phone. Any suggestions?

But you'l be OK.. Do this when you receive the one that's being shipped to ya! Charge it for 4 -- 5 Hours then In-stall the Sim Card.  It's a Good thing to charge your Razr in the off position as it Refreshes it when you power it Back on.. Try holding the volume down and power button for 10 seconds, that does a soft reboot of the phone. Maybe it is hung up and just needs to be restarted.

I'm on my second droid razr, and it is having the same problem as the first one, battery drains it self down in 2 hours. I,ve tried to shutdown different apps. I just had it on from charging and in 5 minutes already down to 80%.

I've soft rebooted quite a few times, but I think there may be an issue here.

Twilli Did you by chance use the Same Sim Card that was in your previous Device in this one:  You might try a New Sim Card in you new Razr & see what does..

Hmmm, two phones same problem.

There may be two things in common here. The charger and/or the operator.

Lets go with the charger first. Have you been using the same charger for both phones (replacements usually just come with the phone only is why I ask) Do you have a different charger to try? Are you charging from the USB on your PC or laptop? When off, the PC and Laptop don't have any power to the USB ports. My wife learned that the hard way with her other phone (a regular flip phone) She had two charger ends on the desk, one was the phone charger and the other was to the PC for synching.

Another problem I've read about is covers. The silicon and hard type. People have said that the various cutouts interfere with the buttons or don't allow the charger to make a good connection. I use a HD Dock so I have to remove my phone from the cover to charge.

Down to 80% in five minutes is kinda fast. Mine goes to 90% in the minute or two it takes me to undock and walk to the bathroom in the morning. It stays at 90% forever though.

Does the phone get hot? A hot phone is an indicator that the battery is discharging like crazy. If the phone dies and doesn't get hot, the battery was either already discharged or the battery is not the issue.

APPS | SETTINGS | BATTERY - What are the 2 or 3 highest values and the processes there?
