Same issue here with Maxx received this morning. Not an Edge purchase, however. What is the solution to activate it?

You should be able to have a smooth transition to your new Maxx, don13. Are you receiving an error message? What zipcode are you activating your phone in? Is your original phone powered off? If you haven't already, visit http://vz.to/186e0Pr to try the activation from there.

I am having the same problem. The failure message says get more bars. I can only ever get three bars, and it's never been an issue with my RAZR MAXX HD. If this phone won't activate, I'm ready to pay the ETF and get a Nexus 5. To be unable to activate a new phone is ridiculous, and apparently an ongoing problem.

Can't get Live Chat because Verizon's site says I'm not logged in. Which I am. Funny, when I was shopping for my phone, I had several invitations to Live Chat with representatives. It also says my order to activate is "pending". What does this even mean?

I just can't believe it. It seems that verizon is having the same issue with my new droid maxx. I got it from the edge program, tried to activate it multiple times, no luck. VERY disappointed!
