ICS/data backup

I'm kind of sure this isn't the dumbest question - but if it is please send prize (.o.). If I have the green check mark under privacy-backup data-google and do the ics upgrade, has everything on the phone been backed up automatically or should I take some other precaution. Just hard to find apps 5 or 6 and 2 kindle books? I can replace phone numbers. Also, shouldn't B33 be upgraded to 5 bars by now, I get good info from his comments.

Contacts and calendar should be backed up to your gmail account assuming you have them set to sync.  Apps that you've downloaded from the Google Play Store should redownload after a factory reset or at least be available in the Play Store under My Apps so you won't need to pay for anything you've already purchased.  Some system settings like wifi logins, home page, etc are also backed up but game saves (unless the app has a way to export the data), sms/mms, screen layouts, etc won't transfer after a reset.

Look in the play store for My Backup. It's free and will backup anything/everything to your micro sd. FYI: You shouldn't need it. The I.C.S. upgrade doesn't wipe your device.

Love that app.  Been using the Pro version forever.  Haven't tried it on a stock device but it's my understanding that while you may be able to restore apps, it won't pull the app data or market links so you won't receive updates in the Play Store.
