Hello all,
I'm new to not only the verizon world, but the droid world as well. I just got the Droid Razr, and am wondering if I am supposed to hook it up to my computer just like you would an iphone/itunes. Is there any kind of account I'd keep on my computer and get updates? Transferring itunes music or any music to my razr?
Yeah, it's embarassing......I know nothing about this thing!
Thanks!

Welcome. There's a bit of a learning curve, but the forums are great for questions and once you get a few things down, I think you'll like it better than your iDevice. At least I do.
Your Razr will download updates over the air (OTA) so you don't need to connect it to your pc for software updates for either your phone or the apps you have on it.
MotoCast will enable you to sync to your pc's music and more! You install the software on your pc, the app on your phone, and your phone can then stream your music from anywhere plus access folders you designate. For example, I have my music, document and picture folders all accessible from my Razr. So if you desire to do that, follow the MotoCast link for more information or this FAQ.
The two biggest things I had to keep remembering when I switched from an iDevice to my Razr is 1) use the Menu key if you feel like you should see more options and 2) use the Back key to go back. Since my iDevice didn't have keys for that, I kept forgetting about them!
If you're still finding your way around the Razr, this Razr Simulator is a nice way to get familiarized with some of the basics. You've already found this forum, so feel free to start other threads with questions or problems.
Enjoy!

Sally,
Thank you so much for not only a clear and thorough response, but a very fast one at that!
It
's definitely taking some getting used to, but I think I'm going to like it even better!
Thanks again!

I ran across this which you might find interesting too. http://m.gizmodo.com/5715789/the-google-employees-guide-to-gingerbread-tips-and-tricks
Gingerbread is the nickname for the current operating system, until we get upgraded to ice cream sandwich.
