How Can I Connect My Droid Maxx To Wifi?

Ever since the last update in May my Droid Maxx will not connect to my wireless network. When I scan for networks it does not find any. Every once in awhile it will prompt me to connect but it always asks for the password which was previously entered and saved. I enter the password, select save and the network drops. When I go to wifi settings and select the network under advanced it says it is out of range. All my other phones and devices are connecting to the wireless network fine. What is up?

Yes I actually ran a device health check last week and it gives a green check and says wifi not connected. It does not detect any problems with wifi. I think it is strange that the phone not only does not detect my network but no other wifi networks in my area. Previously it would show all wifi networks in my area including mine. It stopped detecting any networks several months ago. It just seems to go back to the last system upgrade which was installed in May.

Have you tried forgetting that network connection, reboot your phone and attempt to connect to the wifi again?

Yes I did it previously but I did it again after I read your question. My network pops up, I enter the password and save it. Nothing happens so I go to manage networks. It says my network is out of range. Then a few seconds later it shows up again with a connection strength of excellent,I select it, select connect and it disappears again. I go back to manage networks and it shows out of range again. This is what has been going on for months. I wouldn't be suspicious if it detected other networks but it doesn't. I cannot figure this out.

I appreciate all the added details and all the troubleshooting you've done so far JOLHOP65. I use WiFi to help me manage my data usage so I know how important it is for the phone to be able to stay connected to WiFi.

Lets make sure the Auto Switch between WiFi and Mobile Data Networks is disabled http://vz.to/2cFQIJY so the phone doesn't disconnect from WiFi when the signal is weak.

I turned this off several days ago and I have been able to connect to my wifi. It also detects other networks in my area. The version of my system is24.21.7 and the installation was successful. Thank you for your input. That seems to have been the problem.
