Google Sign-in Error!

Since switching to the new Shared data plan (Pretty much to the hour. My father went in and changed the whole family's setup to this.) I have been getting notifications of a Google sign-in error.

The message always says:
"Google sign-in

You entered the wrong password or your account has changed. Please re-enter your password.

Yet when I enter my password, nothing happens. (The message doesn't go away. As if i've entered the wrong password.)

At first I thought this issue started up out of the blue, then I determined that it started in the same hour as the agent was changing the plan with my dad at the branch store. I've already tried clearing the phone's cache, but I would like to know if there is anything I or a VZW rep can do to fix this issue BEFORE doing a factory reset. I don't want to take it into the store to find out that I have to do one and the rep initiating it, causing me to lose the pictures I have stored on my phone before I can transfer them to my memory card (Like what happened last time I took it in to the store.) Considering it just started while my phone was idle in my pocket after running smothly for upwards of 6 months, I am let to belive this has something to do with VZW, and nothing in particular on Google's part, or software in my phone.

Please help, this is getting to be very frustrating.

Seems to be a widespread issue so it's not isolated to Verizon. Mine has been doing it randomly for the past couple days but didn't seem to be negatively affecting anything.  Some over at android central thinks it might've been the google+ update. http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g/184003-google-sign-error.html

Same here, it has seem to flare up over the last couple of days, but it seems to rectify itself pretty quickly.

I was having this problem too, and man, was I frustrated! Little things like this bug the crap out of me. But after changing my password a few times using a PC I finally figured out how to stop the annoying orange exclamation from popping up. Instead of using the Gmail App on my Droid to check email, I had an idea to sign into Google using the browser as I would if I were using a PC. Like what you do to get all the personal Google+ features online. Once signed in, I then CHANGED my password again using my phone's web browser staying within the Google+ environment and that was it. Since then I got the error message once but the phone synced on it's own, recognized the password and hasn't prompted the error again.

I'm hoping my how-to steps aren't too confusing if you choose to do as I did but basically, sign into your email going to gmail.com instead of using the app, and change your password within the account settings and hopefully that'll work for you. A phone restart will pronbably help too if your phone needs to sync with the new password.

I would agree that it was all the Google apps updates or just the Google+ App. I had the sign in error on my Thunderbolt, but not the Nexus. All I did to clear it was reboot the Thunderbolt. It signed in automatically after that.

I also had a friend have the same error after updating the Google+ App. They are using AT&T for their carrier. A reboot fixed it as well.

Thanks for the link duder. It kind of makes sense because when i looked at

the Google stuff in my accounts manager, Google+ wasn't syncing right.

I've done multiple reboot on my phone (just no defaults) but the error

still keeps coming through. I think the only way i can get it to stop is

either turning off the automatic sync, or just uninstalling Google+ for the

time being.

Totally worked - thanks!  Bummer part was that I had to choose a NEW password and Google doesn't allow you to go back to passwords that you've used before.  Oh well, huh?

There was another Google+ update in the Play Store yesterday afternoon. I think it might have fixed the sign-in error and the installation error.
