What drivers are failing and are you following the instructions listed in link, the system wont install the drivers on its own, you have to direct them to the driver and then allow it to install even after it says its not supported..

This should work without issues..

If they are connected via USB they are fine. When I paired them via Bluetooth the downloading and installation of drivers happened automatically – I wasn’t given anything to respond to. I’m not sure where I would find those drivers in order to uninstall them but I did go to the devices and uninstalled my Bluetooth independent device (a Bluetooth gizmo that plugs into a USB port on my 2 year old computer with Windows 7.) I couldn’t get my Droid X to connect via Bluetooth either. I’d just prefer to send the MANY pics I take of my dogs to my computer without having to drag out cables all the time.

Some of the Bluetooth-USB plugin gizzmos just will not work with all Bluetooth devices no matter how hard you try.  If you really want to get Bluetooth working and USB is not a good alternative for you, then give up on the Bluetooth adapter that you have and do a google search for a Bluetooth adapter that will work with your phone and Windows OS version.  I'm sure someone someplace has reported success with a particular device.  Usually the small button adapters are less than $15, many less than $10.

Saw this on AndroidCentral - since you can pair them I wonder if this will work?

"Mine was doing the same thing... I finally figured it out... (droid razr & windows 7 64bit)

Right click on your bluetooth icon on your PC.  Select "Show Bluetooth Devices" from the drop-down menu.

Once that pops up, select the device you want to connect to.  Right click on that device.  On the drop-down menu, select "connect using" and then it should pop-up with a drop-down that says access point...

Now you should be able to send/receive files between your pc and phone....

Hope that helps."

Ok so I decided to try what you wanted to do and...same result. What I ended up having to do is install Windows Mobile Device Center - it is listed as Vista only but is the reccomended(?) download for Win7 as well. Once I went through this agony I could pair the pc and phone and send pics from the Maxx to the PC.

If you go to Device Manager you will(probably)see that you have one or more "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" entries that are exclamated.

Once I had WMDC installed I had to go to each entry and update them, follow the post listed above from Wildman:https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/675207

Then, because all I had was the inbuilt software on the phone I had to long press on a pic and tap Share, select BT and then the computer when prompted, on the PC I had to click on the BT icon in the systray and select "Receive a File"

Horrible process and I'm looking for a file manager that will do it natively - surprising that I couldn't figure out how to do it with ES File Explorer(at least not yet)

ES File Explorer does work....eventually. There are SO many easier ways to do this. I was curious though so I wanted to try. WiFi. EMail, USB, pulling the micro sd and putting it in a reader...root canals, all are more fun than doing this via BT.

If you right click on "Computer" and go to "Properties" you most likely see a usually 2 drivers that did not load (These will have a yellow or red asterisks), you should be able to install these drivers by following the instructions posted at https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/675207.

This is a common issue when loading a mobile device with bluetooth, it loads the basic drivers but not the more technical drivers to be able to push files and audio and voice communication.

Follow the instructions exactly and your issue should be resolved.
