I have the same problem after any software update. I've been to Version at least 15 times for the issue. Had 2 phones sent out as replacements. Same issue. The partial fix is inconsistent. Some times the fix works sometimes it doesn't.
I have found that the blue tooth sometimes stop the speaker from working. Use your blue tooth to connect to someone and the sound will return.
Another remedy that worked was to just go to the settings and increase the volume settings of the ringer.
I've also had to uninstall and install the 3rd party clock /alarm app that I was using.
All in all This is a constant problem that occurs all the time on the Razor Maxx.
