Can't send text messages after Software Update - Droid Razr Maxx

I just bought my Razr Maxx today and got a software update a couple hours ago and after I downloaded it I can't send out any text messages any more Smiley Sad  Has anyone else had this issue??

Reboot the phone? Take the SIM card out of the phone for a few minutes, reassemble and boot up the phone?
