Once you do an OS upgrade, it installs itself as the base OS, so the answer is no. Doing a Factory Reset will reset your phone to the latest OS, which would be ICS.

Although there are other ways to manually do it on other sites that we cannot discuss here.

As stated, the answer is no, can't go back. My question is if you are having problems, what are the problems and maybe we can help.

As mortb asked, what are your problems/issues that you are having that makes you want to go back to GingerBread? If it is problems, as a very last resort, a factory reset would pretty much fix any software issue with the phone, as it sets it back to what it would be if you just got the phone with ICS on it. No customization, no nothing else. You will have to set everything else up yourself, load your apps again, etc.

If it is just something that you do not like about the OS features, there is not much you can do about it from a stock phone perspective.

No problems so far.

The reason I asked was because I was ready to upgrade and wondered "what if I don't like it". But I did the upgrade and no issues. I like it just fine.

That's why it is good to just "hang" and let others do the upgrades first, and then you can hear the issues that people are having with it. Mine was available, but I chose to do it until a couple of days later. My wife is not a big technology person, and we both got our phones (MAXX's) a couple days apart. I did mine first and then went through things with her, and when she felt comfortable with the changes she did hers.
