I guess I'm one of the other "non-500,000" who got it and got burned. So is the tech at Verizon who is having the same problems with his phone.
Your "put downs" aren't appreciated and should have been monitored by the Verizon Moderator.

The radio is what picks up either the 3G or 4G LTE signal from the tower.

There are at least 3 radios in the Razr, 3G, 3G and WLAN. 3G and 4G may be the same radio but I don't believe so.

A question to ask yourself (if you are experiencing this issue as described above.
1) are you in a 3G or 4G area? If you are in a 3G area one of the issues is that your phone is searching for the 4G link and it will continue to search every few minutes until it connects to 4G.
Prior to ICS you could go into the network settings and change that to CDMA (3g) only but with ICS, it only gives you a few choices.
Global
LTE/CDMA
and I believe Automatic so you cannot go in and change it to CDMA only. There are some ways to try to force it to CDMA only, some apps, and a manual setting but I have not tested these and am not sure if not having the option in the Network Settings you can even use one of these to change it.
If not the way I see it is either Verizon needs to get on the stick and get 4G out everywhere, or they need to have an update to ICS to put CDMA back in so you can change it until Verizon catches up with their 4G installations.

For me the worst part of all of this is that the flash player isnt supported on any browser Ive downloaded yet. Flash might be on its way out but its still incorporated into 90% of web pages
