is anyone having trouble with backup assistant.....i cant seem to back my contacts up to the computer, every time i try to backup my contacts it always fails.....am i doing something wrong here or is anyone else having a problem!

The problem is that Backup Assistance backs up to Verizons storage server not to your PC, are you sure that BA is the issue... Also I would also let you know that BA has issues with a nuber of smartphones and it is best to backup all your contacts to Google instead.

Ironically, just from my experience Backup assistant + has always worked for me without fail , but has its limitations to the data it actually maintains --- now personally I'd rather have it on VZ as it is a lot less likely to get jacked , if you get a bug on your PC, go to your gmail and next thing you know all phone contacts get junk -- but that is just me
Now if I could only get Backup&sync to quit sending me cryptic mysterious text msgs every day (well the tecks think VZ is the source - code number 6250 as a source)

i've also used ba for years without any problems, being aware that it only does phone numbers, not email addresses.

I also use Backup Assistant. It works most of the time but there are days when it seems not to work. I have mine set to sync daily. However, mine syncs most everything from my phone to Backup Assistant........email, home address, phone numbers. Individual pictures don't seem to sync. But I have a Fascinate, not a Razr. Maybe that is the difference.

I'm having the same problem. I know that it only backs up to Verizon and not to my computer, but the problem is that it keeps telling me that either my subscription cannot be verified, or that the network is unavailable. Either way, the sync keeps failing completely. If anyone has an answer to this, I'd be grateful! In the meantime, the google contact backup is working fine. Only problem is that either way, you have to adjust which contacts are "linked' (i.e., Facebook contacts vs just phone contacts" every time you change devices! It's not my favorite thing, but is consistent across all the android devices I've ever owned. It still beats iPhone! 🙂

If you want to backup your data, apps, google contacts and calendar I would recommend MyBackup Pro from the Market. It will back up these items to your SD card - or their server if you choose - and then if your phone dies you can easily re-install them. I wasn't having very good luck with Verizon's Backup Assistant so I switched to this app. Just an fyi.

I am having the same issue. I always get a message that my subdscription can not be verified. Before I went to the Raze, aal my contacts were baacked up there. Now when I go there, there is nothing.

We know how important it is to save your contacts! We want to help! Have you checked the trash folder online when you sign into Backup Assistant? Are you able to use Backup Assistant on the handset itself. Is it working properly? Does it appear to be active on the device? http://bit.ly/ISRJSK
