Actually I have the Maxx and I hate it

     That is pretty much it in a nutshell. I have to suffer through this thing for 2 years before I can get an I- phone. If you have to text frequently because family members and friends are deaf this is NOT the phone for you. The texting is awful.

uh, have you reviewed or tried other Texting APPS ???  There are a LOT of options ...  e.g., HandCent being just 1 of many.  That's the beauty of the Android phones - you have CHOICES for APPS ... not stuck with what the iWhatever installs.

Or the OP could try a different keyboard if the stock one is what is causing the problem.
