We understand the need of receiving e-mails while on the go. I regret to hear of the issues that you are experiencing. I was able to confirm that this is not a known issue. Lets try to delete the e-mail account and set up under "Other" instead of AOL. Here is how: Apps > My accounts > Add account > Email accounts > Other. To uninstall the e-mail, try this: Settings > Accounts > Touch the AOL account > Select Remove.
