why did my landscape mode stop working?

Auto rotate is checked.  I tried recalibrating and it says calibration aborted.  It worked fine until a few weeks ago.  How can I find out what is causing this?  I took it to the Verizon store and they were googling stuff on line to try to to fix it.  can someone help me here?

i can't view videos or photos in landscape and photos taken in landscape do not display in landscape.

am i going to need a hard reset?

someone please help

What a peculiar situation. Good thing we're confident we can find a fix for you. First, if you haven't already tried this, please turn off the phone, pull the battery, reinsert, turn on, and test. Also, is your software up to date? If that is done to no avail, please enable safe mode and test http://vz.to/14U5Hyw . That will allow us to better isolate the issue. But, if we're unsuccessful there, please process a hard reset http://vz.to/1fLbzVf .
