Battery life to me is a moot point.
I can get over 8 hours a day, if I only check something when I get notifications
I get between 3-4 hours when I am listening to ESPN radio constantly at work.
I have a charger at work, in the car, and at home. I make sure that I have it charged before I go out, before my meetings and anytime that I will not be around a charger.
It does use the battery more than any other phone that I have owned in the past, but I do more things with my X than I have with any other phone. With the large screen, its going to suck battery.
I no longer use any task killers, and I found that I get the same battery life than when I was using task killers. For me, a task killer is useless, because the phone manages the memory just fine.
That is my expirience

My experience over the last 2 months: I also have 2 chargers; 1 in the car and 1 at home. I usually "top it off" to 100% first thing in the morning. (I always power it down at night). Then depending on how heavy a use it gets during the day (e.g., music or video at the gym, a lot of calls, etc.) I'll top it off again in the late afternoon when it hits 50% or so. I also do not use any Task Killers. I just don't leave GPS or WiFi turned on when I am not using them. I also don't use any animated wallpaper or play any games with it. When I DO use Navigation, I always leave it plugged into my car charger. (and it NEVER overheats.)
I did an interesting test at the gym yesterday: I watched a full length MOVIE while on the bike/treadmill. The movie was 1 hour 15 mins long. It (phone) was FLAWLESS !!!! Never overheated. Never crashed & rebooted! I had 70% battery left afterwards. I was impressed.

When I first got the X I had to charge it during the day, everyday, now I have had it for about a month and on a moderate use day I get about 15 hours from the regular battery. I leave my Bluetooth, wifi and gps all turned on. I did switch from the swype keyboard to the regular keyboard after noticing that the swype used more battery. I don't usually use the actually phone that much more texting then anything else.

well that doesnt sound too bad.
for me i wouldnt use the wifi, bluetooth, or gps bc i have a laptop for wifi, i dont like bluetooth anyway, and i have a garmin if i need to get somewhere.
im basically a normal college student that i have to go to classes most of the day and all i do right now with my Nokia E71 is text maybe 50 or more a day, call for a few hours depending, and check websites and stuff but with the facebook widgets and stuff i wouldnt have to.
does that sound like a low use or something to get a good battery life out of the phone?
and has anyone used the extended battery and gotten extremely better battery life like the guy in the article i posted in the second post talked about?

I think you'll be happy with the battery life given what you're doing. Just plan to charge it daily, or top it off at night or something. I wouldn't immediately jump to a larger battery before you get some usage experience with it .. I'm sticking with the stock battery myself; suits my needs just fine right now. PS - the (FREE) Google NAV system is very good !!

leader0101,
Since you mentioned Facebook, if you leave it on push all the time it is a battery hog.
