Can the Droid 2 Global notify me when a text message is received?  I have Notification ringtone to one in the menu but the Droid never makes any sound when a text message is received (and yes, the volume is turned up).  Thanks

If you don't have the Messaging icon on your home window, you can access it by tapping your  APPS button.

All your apps are in alphabetical order.

Scroll down to messaging.  The icon looks like a mail box with a red flag on it.

Tap on Messaging icon.

On the next screen, Tap on the MENU.  Bottom left, It looks like  four squares.

Tap on Messaging Settings.

Tap on TEXT MESSAGING.

Tap on Select Ringtone.

Then make your selection.

To make a diffrent ringtone for your EMAIL select Email instead of text messaging.
