symbols on top of phone screen??

Hi, I am new to Verizon.  I just bought the Droid and I do have to say its taking a long time to get use to it.  There are some symbols on the top of the phone screen.  One is battery, bars, etc.  What is the one that looks like a bow tie?  Cant figure that out.  thanks
