I have had to reset my phone because when i power my phone on and off I don't hear the "droid" sound anymore. For some reason after about a week I will get this fast ring when I power on and off. To get my "droid" sound again I have to reset my phone. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I talked to Motorola Support and you cannot change/stop the beep and/or vibrate when powering down. This was part of the last update.

The sound from power up/down is from the sound set for notifications. Whatever the notification sound is set to should be the sound the device makes during power up/down. To disable it, uncheck the sound notification for SDcard.

When I power off my Droid2 it makes a rather loud beep sound then a few seconds later it does the vibrate/buzz thing while it is shutting down. Do you know anyway to stop both of these from happening? The SD notification sound is not checked and my notification sound is "pixie dust."

I have a droid r2d2 and am hoping to silence the notification sounds on start up and shut down. SD card notifications is selected but grayed out in my sound settings list so I can't deselect it. Does this mean I have no way of silencing the r2d2 animation on start up?
