Hi I am using a droid motorola 2 and when I send out or recieve smileys in a text instead of the picture showing it shows as" : )" in symbols but closer together. (I can't write it like that on the forum or the actual picture will show up) when I had the droid 1 by motorola I had no problem with the smiley showing up as a smiley and not symbols. Is this problem being fixed or what can I do?

On my phone for smileys to be me the picture I have to press menu > Insert Smiley and choose the which smiley or I type them like Smiley Happy and they automatically convert to the picture. Give that a try.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I think that this is something that motorola just left out. My droid 1 just did this by default. My droid 2 just doesn't. :smileysad:

My device actually does not display the Android Emoticons, but I downloaded Verizon Wireless's VCast Messages application from the Android Market. This application does display the standard Android Emoticons.
