sim card error

I'm receiving an error message where my HTC Incredible 2 sim card temporarily fails. I've been able to fix the problem by pressing down on the sim card holder, turning airplane mode on/off, restarting, etc. However the issue is now happening too frequently to do these quick fixes. Should I take the phone to the store, call tech support...whats the most efficient way to get a new sim card/holder?

They are replacing the tray. In case this doesn’t solve the issue,  how do I go about getting a new Sim card?

That's a 3g phone just take the Sim card out you won't need unless using it international.
