no gmail and no texts coming in

I was told to go to vtext.com and to change my preferences so that I can empty out my memory and then be able to receive text messages....i would also be able to reconfigure my email....i have not been able to find this

What do I do?page or to get my text or gmail working

Dial *228, option 2. Then try to get on the internet on your phone, does that work? Then try a text to yourself, what happens?

Go to menu, settings, wireless networks, mobile networks--make sure data roaming is enabled

I understand how important it is to receive your emails and your text messages. I would like to ask some questions if I may. 

Is your GMail added to your account? You can re-configure by removing it and readding it to your account. 

Are you having problems sending messages too, or just receiving messages?

Did you attempt to send yourself a message, as suggested in the previous post?

Please let us know the results of the message troubleshooting so we can make sure your issue is resolved. 

To remove and/or readd your GMail, plese follow these steps:

Remove

Press Menu

Press Settings

Press Accounts

Press Remove

Select the GMail account and press Remove

Press OK once you get to the confirmation screen

Add

Press Menu

Press Settings

Press Accounts

Press Add New

Follow the steps to add the GMail back to your device
