my review on ota froyo 2.2 mine also has tether n wifi hotpsot

That's weird I got ota today at 4pm thought yesterday was last day anyways mine has wifi hotspot n tether I have when verizon took these options out of the os its wat caused all these errors on so many droid so I has they decieded to keep it the way google intended it to n no errors on mine all thou my phone is super fast now I have no idea why you are all saying enternet is faster its much much slower then before. So far that's the only probelm I have ohh and my ota didn't come with swipe I thought it was us and also thought there was a fm radio with th update but nada ???

Here's a list of the inprovements and enhancements that were released with the 2.2 update for the Droid.
Enhancements
- New security options including remote device wipe and device lock, password complexity and minimum password length.
- Easily switch between the eight most recent applications.
- Rotate the screen 270 degrees to work with apps in any direction.
- NOTE: The Adobe Flash 10.1 Player will be available late summer.
Improvements
- Enhanced audio quality
- Easy shortcuts for access to the phone, application launcher and browser from any of the five home screens
- Support Exchange calendars in the Calendar application.

Gabe, have you actually tried and used the tethering and/or hotspot feature? I think you only think you have them.

It works the same as before. Just hold the home button and instead of showing the last 6, it shows 8.
As for wifi tethering. I think there's a lot of confusion there. Wifi tethering = turning your phone into a hotspot and allowing other devices to use your 3G signal. AFAIK, this isn't available in FRG01b. As for the usb tethering, It's been reported by many that trying to access the internet will give you the mobile broadband connect required page but it will apparently allow you to share a wifi connection through usb without prompting you (kind of defeats the purpose).

I think of tethering as plugging your phone into your USB port to provide an internet connection to your computer. That we have, but you can't use it because, as of now, Verizon won't sell you the required data plan. I think of hotspot as wireless access to the internet by one or more computers using the Droid as a wireless modem/router. That, we definitely do not have.
