I have a droid x and my phone with not go past the loading screen. It shows the "red eye" and then goes to droid, then repeats the process all over again and again.

That is absolutely not normal at all for your phone! I'm so sorry it's in this repeat reboot process. I will be more than happy to provide some suggestions to resolve this issue.
First, I would try removing the battery for 10 seconds while the phone is powered on. Reinsert, power on and test.
If it does the same thing, I would take the battery out again to turn it off. Before you put the battery back in read these steps and try it out once you put the battery back in: http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=34184
If you're able to boot up, I would uninstall any recently added/updated 3rd party applications.
