southernbelle19,
Just got done doing this about an hr. ago, the way I did it is as follows:
All u have to do is connect X to comp. via usb cable. When u do look up @ top bar & pull it dn., u'll see usb connection. Tap on that, when pop-up opens select usb mass storage & tap ok. Once u've done that, go to "My comp." & open it. Now that u've done that, now open the SD (on mine it shows as removable disk "F"). There shld be a folder (vmm music), open it & reduce it. Now go to where ur music is, then u can just drag & drop it into thre music file u opened. U can pick them all & do it @ (1) time.
Hope this helps,

Plug your phone in to your computer. Make sure that your phone is set as USB Mass Storage (from the pull down menu at the top tap on USB connection). Your computer will treat your phone like a flash drive. Just drag and drop your music into the music folder on your phone. Easy.

Hi!
I'm also having a problem loading music onto my DroidX.
I've plugged the USB cable, selected USB Mass Storage, and now all it will do it notify me that it's preparing my SD Card and that's it. It's been doing this for about 5-10 minutes. Does it usually take this long to prep the SD Card?
Thanks for your help!

Try Motorola Media Link App - Simple program that syncs with Itunes and let's you do the same with your Droid X.
Seems to work great untill Verizon gets this act together for WIndows 7 64 Bit!
