I was wondering if you can save a picture that is sent to you as a text can be saved to your Droid X? If anyone could offer some help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

go to your text, get the picture and hold your thumb or finger on the picture then you will have choices. I just learned that myself last night! That should work. It will take a minute or so (it seems) to get it into your Gallery. Hope that helps.

that is correct, touch and hold the image itself and a menu bar will come up allowing you several options to include "save image"

Before I switched phones I sent pictures to my email. I sent them back to my phone as a text. When I go to open them it will go to the picture then back to the screen displaying something that looks like a frame out of a negative. I have tried your suggestion and it may work with a picture that is already open but it did not work with one that is sent .... I guess almost like an attachment? If you have any other suggestions I am willing to try anything. Thanks

Under threader view from sender you should be able to press and hold on message and select save from list..

Sorry but new to the whole smart phone scene. So forgive me for sounding a little **bleep** what is a threader? I tried holding everywhere on the screen and all I managed to do was a little thing came up and wanted me to send email, copy email, share email and add to contacts. I pressed some where else on screen and it said compose or email.... Sorry
