I have a repacement droid 2 and maybe this is a basic android question. Today I cannot hear the incoming caller at all. I cannot hear the sound during a call to the voicemail number either. I have the incoming call volume on maximum as well as all the other sound volumes that I can find. Is there another thing that I may have accidentally hit. The pereson on the other end of the call can hear me. I can text and receive texts. Same with email. Help!!! (Verizon stores in my area are never open on Sundays and usually not on Mondays...or if snow is on the ground or the wind is blowing, you get the picture)

Hi colfrmb:
The earpiece issue is quite strange, but I'm sure we can help find where the issue lies. This is generally either a glitch or a potential hardware issue. First, I suggest making a phone call to our test number (#832). Once you see the call is connected, put it on speakerphone. If it doesn't work on speakerphone, you may have a larger issue here requiring a master reset. I would pull the battery first, and if that doesn't work, proceed with the master reset.
If you find that the issue is specifically with the earpiece, and pulling the battery doesn't help, you're more than welcome to try the master reset. However, it may be a speaker in the earpiece that shorted out which would require replacement. I followed you, so if you need a replacement, feel free to DM me or call the Warranty Center at 866-406-5154.
Feel free to post any updates.

I can hear incoming sound when I use the speaker button. It worked fine
today when I turned it on. So I am guessing that it is hardware related and
that it will happen again. Its a shame since this is a refurbished
replacement phone and I've only had it about a month and already it is having
problems.

Colfrmb, I definitely understand how this issue can be frustrating, especially since this is a replacement device. I agree that this sounds like a hardware issue since it is happening with different people and on all calls. If you have not already had your device replaced, I can complete this for you. Please send me a direct message with your name and number so that I can further assist.
