Some more details, please. Vagueness hurts. And kills (well, maybe, I don't know....
Are you charging the phone? If so and you let the phone completely die (a no-no, try to not let the phone go below 30% of a charge), then you'll need to connect the charger and let it sit for several minutes before it will boot up.
Have you pulled the battery, let it sit for a minute, then re-insert the battery and try to boot the phone?
If none of this is the case or works, then it's a trip to the Verizon store for a replacement.

Sound like you had a app hang, the solution posted above should work..... But if device doesnt start then it usually mean battery has discharged below minumal power level, usually hooking it to wall plug for a few minutes usually get you going again.

Yeah...I hear the iPhone battery is pretty bad...at least for two co-workers who keep theirs on the charger a lot of the day while at work. I don't...anymore!

I recently switched to the HTC Rezound, and even bought an extended battery (myDX had a regular battery) and still find the DX battery life much better than the Rezound. And no, I'm not playing around because it's a new phone. I am trying to learn some of the different features, however. Wow! what a learning curve.
