I am looking around for a new micro sd card for my incredible and see several different classes. what is the max class that the htc can handle and reconize. I do not want to get a 10 if 4 is the highest it can use.

What do you mean by max class? Are you taking about the physical size or how much memory it holds?
Micro SD is the only card that can fit in the Incredible. Despite what manufacturers say, any Micro SD card will do, the phone will format it for you.
As for the size, the highest microSD card that I can think of that is available is the 16GB one. As for price..who knows, maybe 40-50 online? The Incredible can handle up to 16 extra GB, maybe more..it's just mounted as a drive when it goes into the phone. I'm currently using an 8 GB, along side with the 8 GB built in, it's plenty space for me.
I hope this answers your question!

I am currently using a Class 10 card in my Incredible with great results! Very fast video capture.

That is good to know. I might just have to look into the differences in the classes and if anything fits for improved performance with the items I own that use SD cards.

@MastaCoz An SD Card can have a class rating, 2, 4, 6 - 10. This defines the speed that the card can transfer data.
