Hey guys our local Walmart has a Droid X in stock however my line isn't due for another 18 months for an upgrade. I was curious if I might be able to do the Upgrade/Swap from other line on a family plan when I buy it through them, or any of the other retailers?? Or could I swap the phone when I get home?
You should be able to upgrade the line that is currently available to upgrade on your account then swap the device to the line you want it on.

You can move the upgrade to your line online through My Verizon.
You can also do what she said above. Buy the phone using the other line's upgrade. Tell them it's a gift and you'll activiate it later.
Take it home, *228 that thing and put your number in as the line to activate OR go online to My Verizon and activate it there...either way.
