Unit not turning on

When i got up this morning my phone was not on. When ever you press the power button the setting button the home button the search and back button all light up but are dim and the phone never turns on. I've pulled the battery and just put the phone on the charger alone and still nothing. I reseated the sim and tried it with out the sd card in. Still no change. It had gone out of service when i went to bed and then i found the phone in this condition this morning. Is there anything like button presses to do a reset on the phone or what Im stuck here.

Keep the battery in when you plug in the charger.  Most phones cannot run from the charger if the battery has been removed.  I would guess that after charging a bit it will again turn on but you may have to get a new battery.

It's a horrifying morning when you have issues with your device especially when you need it first thing. I'll be glad to give you some steps to help resolve this immediately.

 

While the battery is out is there any corrosion or change to the coloration on the battery terminals? Is the battery swollen? Did this problem occur after the device was exposed to physical or liquid damage? Please replace the battery leave the device on the wall charger for about 30 minutes then try to power the device on.

 

 Did this start after an application was downloaded? Please try a alternate hard reset if you are still experiencing the issue. Here's the link for that reset.

 

Let me know if these steps help, if not we can further troubleshoot.
