Handcent allows you to create groups for messaging.

You can also download the free app called Text Easy. You can select multiple recipients to send text messages. You can select contacts from either a group or all contacts.

Not sure about your MOTO, but there is on the Eris. Just go to your contacts list > then groups. Create a new group and add people to it > save. Then when you want to text a group, just open that group then choose send SMS message.

Send out group text.. Have about 60 people total in different groups I try to send it to.Have had trouble with this drod some go threw and about half dont.So have to send them one by one.. Was told  by Verz. salesman this was the phone to get.Have talked to so many tech support people still dont have any answers? Have been with Verizon for about 12 years can't believe they can't help me fix the problem...
