I've finally gotten a clean list of contacts and exported them from Outlook to Gmail successfully. Now I want my phone contacts to match what is in Gmail contacts. The problem is there are WAY more contacts in my phone than are in Gmail so I want the extra contacts in my phone to go away.
How do I do this? The sync option is selected but the "extra" contacts in my phone are not being deleted.
Syncing contacts can be a challenge. I have provided instructions below on how to delete contacts from your phone.
Deleting contacts
From the main Home screen, tap > People.
On the All tab, press MENU, and then tap Delete.
Select the contacts you want to delete, and then tap Delete.
When prompted, tap OK.
