Syncing Google Calendar with Droid X - Can't do it!!

My wife and I got the new Droid X yesterday and it has synced our gmail accounts contacts and gmail, but it will not sync the calendar.  There is not even a place to select calendar in the account preferences section.  What can I do?  Do I need to do something in my gmail account?  We need the calendars, we need help to get them going!

Go to Market and search for 'sync google calendar'.

I downloaded the widget and it says "login failed" for both of her gmail calendar accounts.  I don't get it.  Is there any way I can purge the calendar onto the phone?
