I have a 2 y/o old Droid X that I'm looking to upgrade, but I need to save a few of the text messages I have on the phone. Can these be tranferred to the new phone (likely another Droid), and/or how can I save them and email them to me?
Thank you.

You can forward them to your e-mail, but they most likely won't have the original time/date stamp if that's important to you. Someone posted on another thread a few days ago that the time/date stamp is preserved if you use Handcent. There also are apps in the Play Store that will back up your texts and forward them to your e-mail.

I'm sure you'll love whatever phone you pick JDREW! Tikibar1 has some great suggestions, but there's a Verizon app through the Google Play store called Verizon Messages that offers a great new way to message on your Android phone, including the option to save your messages to your SD card. Check out all the details and even send the application to your phone at http://bit.ly/RziRAY when you get a chance.
Thank you
