Samsung Droid Charge & APPs draining power

I continue to have issues of goggle apps & verizon "default" apps draining power every single day -- so much that full power charge doesn't even last 8 hours per day !       it appears Verizon, Google,  or something set defaults to run their programs constantly.   I've tried to  Stop some processes from running constantly and now my phone seems totally screwed up ..   previous screens isn't there,    phone notification sounds reset to default of only one option,     and many many many more issues.    It's like the thing turned on various programs and apps I've never used before and are running constantly.      how can i get these to reset back to original without reloading everything that I had gotten it to in the last year ?     

damn google,  damn verizon for making so many of these apps  "default" settings and that can't be deleted  in the first place !!!!
