SD and Charging issues
Psychotichammer

Ok I'm having a problem with my SD card mounting to my computer when I plug the USB cord in to charge using the computer. I have it set to 'Charge Only' but it is still mounting the SD card to the computer. I just recently started having this issue, and nothing changed on my phone or computer that I know of from the time it was working to now. Does anyone have any known fixes or suggestions for me.

Thanks

Try dialing *228 send and option 1 on the device.

For problems with the music player, try closing the application then re-opening  it.

From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
Touch Settings.
Touch Applications.
Touch Running services.
Touch the Music Player Application.
Touch Stop.

For problems with the SD Card, try removing the card then re-inserting the card back into the device.

Ensure the phone is powered off. Remove the back cover. Holding the phone with both hands and the touch screen facing away, gently press down until it disengages then lift off.

From the recessed area near the bottom of the battery, press upwards slightly then pull the battery out.

With the metal pins facing down, insert the card in the SD card slot.

To remove the card, reverse the instructions.

Align the battery contacts with the contacts inside the battery compartment. Insert the contact side of the battery first then gently push the battery into place.

Replace the back cover.

I have had my Droid 2 less than a week. I too keep getting the "Could not launch the requested activity", primarily with the music player. I have to remove the battery. Also have an issue with pictures not saving after they have been taken. This seems to be an SD Card Issue.  Anyone have any ideas what would cause this?

Your handset will automatically charge when connected to a computer via a USB cable, but you can also set your USB cable connection to "Charge Only" mode by pressing the USB notification  Image if you do not want to access handset or share media with connection. You can view this information at the link below.

Yes, but even when it is on "Charge only" I still cannot access my Sd card as if it was not on "Charge only".

Psych - I can say that I certainly don't have this problem with my device. Have you tried restoring factory defaults?
Do you have the correct drivers installed?
It certainly sounds as if your computer is making the card writable, which means that your phone can't access it, but there isn't any obvious reason why?
