Is there any way to make the Droid X ring longer before going to voice mail?

The option I used was:

 

1) Download RingDroid

 

2) Find a song that is synced to the app "that you want as a ringtone"

 

3) From there you can manually choose which part and how long your tone will be

 

4) Save a ringtone

The ring length is no longer an option available to change through Verizon Wireless; however, there may be an application available through the App Market.

I have the Droid incredible and when i first got it, it would ring twice and go to voice mail.

I too was informed that you did not have choice of rings.  like the old days..5, 10 and so on.

So I did not investigating and playing with the phone and found out how to extend the ring length.

Its just disguised...

 

Menu

Settings

Sound

Phone ring tone

audible touch tones

CHECK long

 

and low and behold, it rings lots longer and gives you a chance to catch your phone before it goes to voice mail.

 

Now i am a happy camper
