I really hate this phone right now. I'm on my 3rd replacement and every phone is worse than the one before. When I originally got the phone it was great. I loved everything about it, I never had any issues but a couple months before I had it for a year  (so I was still under warranty thank goodness) it started acting up. First, it wouldn't let me connect to the internet so my local retailer did the manufacturer reset and that seemed to work (he had also suggested that taking out the battery for a minute, making sure everything is updated and even taking out the SD card could potentially help solve any glitches that are going on) until a few days later my phone wouldn't let me enter any apps including messaging and contacts. I went back to the retailer and once again had the reset done and it worked fine. After another week the phone constantly froze over and over. It was too the point where I never turned it on. It was RIDICULOUS! At that point the retailer offered to replace the phone. A few days later the replacement came in and all was good. I got it set up, loaded my contacts from my gmail account and all seemed well...Two weeks after having the "like-new" phone, which it was actually a refurbished phone, it started to freeze so yet again had the reset done and all was okay (by this time, the retailer which happened to be the same person every time, knew that when I came into the store something was wrong with my phone and he would have to do a reset). Another week later the phone completely shut off and I couldn't turn it back on and neither could the retailer. Since I got an warranty (this time it was only good for 90 days) I got another refurbished phone. With this one, there was a few glitches when I first got it, when I was setting it up it froze, and then it would occasionally freeze but at that point it was, at the time, better than my previous encounters. Three weeks to a month pass by, and I had just got home from vacation and every time I would go to take a picture it would either freeze or make me force close the app. Again, I had the reset done. Another week goes by and every day that phone would freeze anywhere from 5-10 times a day. My mom called customer service since it was late cause I had an evening class. She was transferred 3 or 4 times to different people just to come up with a solution which led to me getting another replacement, which happens to be my current phone and is going back to the retailer because I'm still having the same issues and my phone will actually flash the symbols on the bottom of the phone (like the homepage and return arrow) and give a blank screen when I attempt to turn the phone on. I'm also still under warranty. Even after the replacements, I still haven't had this phone for 2 years yet. But anyways, the customer service people that my mother and I spoke to were not all that great. The first person we spoke to kept repeating the same thing over and over and wouldn't answer any of our questions, so she transferred us to a tech guy who tried to lead us through the reset, but the numbers he kept having me dial were invalid and was becoming a waste of time, so he transferred us back to another representative who actually tried to answer our questions but couldn't give a straight answer so she flat out said she'll just send me another replacement. The lady who made sure all of our information was correct my what is now my current phone was a hoot. She was great and was the ONLY one who apologized for my phones being horrible. At this point, I'm EXTREMELY frustrated with this phone and my mom is actually at the point where she is about to drop verizon (which shes been a client for over 20 years). It is seriously ridiculous, at this point the should have given me a brand new phone not a refurbished one. I should have gotten a brand new one after the first phone since I didn't even have it a year yet. Sorry this was lengthy, but I feel that I should share this just as a warning to anyone else who this may or may have happened to.

Sadly, there is actually more to this story then I originally posted. I took some out, because it sounded like I was ranting...even though I am.

I only read half of waht you wrote, but it is a common thing with android.. vzw techs end up replacing device too quickly to make you happy and dont do proper troubleshooting

what are the odds 3 phones? seems doubtful would be the phone then

I mean you do a reset and it works fine. then you add all your apps back and it stops working..

do a factory reset, format your sd card, sign in with a different gmail so you dont bring any apps back. something has to be on this phone.

went back to re-read it.. no you dont get a new phone. thats not how electronics works. chances are there is some app or data on the sd card that isn't get wiped that is causing your problems. format the sd card, dont install lookout/watchdog/advance task killer and you wont have any more problems.

millions of people have that phone with no issue, and you got 4 with problems.. i'm no math major but it seems like you would win the lotto first

I know its common on androids, but I don't use my phone that much. I usually only text on it and look something up on the internet or check to see what time it is, but that's about it. I only have 2 apps on it that I have downloaded. I mostly use my iPod for everything else. I have even tried using a different gmail account and reset everything on my phone (including sd card). I don't even have those apps you listed above. All I have is whatever came already on the phone, words with friends, and draw something. I rarely use them (have them on my iPod as well). I don't even have music on my phone, and I have only 30-40 pictures. I'm always clearing out my history on my phone and I always make sure I'm not logged in on facebook or twitter since my friends think its funny to update my status from my phone. I honestly think its idiotic that you can't get a new phone even if its still under the one year warranty.

You can send your phone off to htc and they will fix your phone and send it back, thats your other option
