Random restarts?

My phone randomly restarts itself. Anyone else have this problem? Any way to correct it?

I and plenty of others have this problem as well. Some more than others. It's happened to me 3 times in 2 weeks (that I noticed). I haven't seen anything about a resolution.

I also am having this issue and it seems like it only happens when it is plugged in from what I can tell.

I have had this happen a few times myself after only having the phone for a few weeks.  I have had mine restart while it is not plugged in.  It can be a pain, but it is helpful if running sluggish.

It may still be too early to tell, but.... Verizon support convinced me to do a factory reset a few days back and I have had no restarts since. I think I'm on my 4th day. I read somewhere else that the problem has been affecting other phones recently with the theory that it's actually related to the network. Obviously nothing definitive.

I am having this issue too.....have already done a factory reset and still having the issue.  It happens when I am charging and when phone isn't on charge.  HELP!

I bought this phone for my wife, being a Retailer for VZW I got to demo the phone a little before purchase. The phone in the store was fantastic, although when I got home it was a very different story. The random restarts began on day two, and she gets at least one a day. The second issue were having is very poor reception, I dont know if this applies to anyone else, but this is the biggest issue we have with the device. Considering exchanging to a better device if we can find one.

Has anyone had the device do a hard reset (where everything is erased) on its own?

 

Also, has anyone tried removing the SIM card / change from "Global" setting to see if reboots stop?

 

Just curious.

Sorry you're having the problem of your DROID Incredible 2 power cycling randomly. This issue has been raised up to HTC, who is asking for the device itself for analysis. If you would, we ask that you visit your local Verizon Wireless store for an exchange, so that we can send it to them for inspection. The store will be happy to order a replacement device for you.

Roy - I went to the store where I bought the phone (16 days ago) and they wanted to charge me a restocking fee. Is there a name/number I can give them to get a replacement for free?
