Powering Off the Droid X

For the past month or so, I can not power off my Droid X.  It goes through the process of saying that it is shutting down but does not.  The next thing I know my battery is low because it never shut off.

I would delete everything. Thats not normal. Maybe the droid x forum would have more about others if they have this problem.
