Phone says "Connection Detected, Select to open Media Share" all the time without phone being connected to anything...
Happens multiple times a day and would like to figure out why... Been checking the search feature before I post these questions and didn't see anything on this...

Yeah, I actually noticed right when the notification pops up if you clock on it and go into the Media Share, right at the top there is an option to check if you want to be notified. I un-checked it to not be notified and the notifications stopped. Easy enough, I should have just paid more attention

Does it do this when you are connected to PC because it sounds like you have the Media Share option selected as default action for the usb cable, try plugging into pc and pull down the top status bar and select charge only...

No, it does it when it isn't connected to anything, which is perplexing to me. I do have it on "charge only" cause I figured the same thing as you. So weird. I can just be sitting here like I am now, not plugged into anything and it pops up "conection detected... etc." Maybe I have a ghost USB cable But seriously, its weird...

Are you connected to wifi by chance bacause DNLA allows you to transmit media to and from a PC using wifi and if this is active the device will show when a media request is made from a connected computer..

If you are using a wifi router the devices are connected through a network connection, this is how the mediasharing option works... The only issue is that their is so many options that could be active to cause this issue, try disconnecting wifi or turn off all pcs on network and see if it stops.... If it does you may want to check PCs file sharing option under Control Panel..

Awesome, I will try that. I am having a lot of issues and even though I just got the phone last week I am possibly going to do a hard reset tonight to see if it clears up any of the issues. If it ends up working I will mark this one as solved. Thanks a ton!

Do you have bluetooth on your computer and paird to the phone? That might also cause this to pop up.
Just a thought... not saying that it is what is happening.

My phone used to do this, but I forgot how I made it stop. I think it's coming from the DLNA feature. If you go into the DLNA app and basically tell it to stop notifying you, I think that will take care of it.
