Rather than reply to every angry post about "where is my 2.2" , I am just goin to post this to everyone. If the shoe fits, wear it. I do not understand why people have no patience when it comes to 2.2. It will get to your handset when it gets there, until then your phone still works, people act as if their phone wont even function with 2.1, grow up people and have a little bit of patience, all your whining does is make you look like an immature little kid that cant wait till X mas moring to open his/her presents!!!!!!

To add to your point, if one spends some time in the Droid Incredible forum reading about the grief and **bleep** that 2.2 is causing, one will get the idea that 2.2 ain't all it was cracked up to be. Please, oh, please, don't let this nonsense happen to Droid X owners.

It would suit me fine for the update gnomes to cancel 2.2 altogether and get 3.0 ready to release.

There is a saying..."be careful what you wish for. You might screw around and get it". It certainly applies here under the circumstances.

All the 2.2 wishers need to throw in a wish or 2 that 2.2 is indeed ready for prime time. (yes, yes, the Droid and Droid 2 version of the update seems to be working fine, I've played with my daughter's updated Droid. An improvement, to be sure, and the update didn't trash the phone.)

In all fairness, I think the seething anger behind a lot of the posts (my previous posts included) as to why don't DX'ers have 2.2 yet deals with the fact that we were promised Flash support when we bought our phones.

We were all sold a bill of goods in the terms of give us $300 today and then in August, Summer, Early September (take your pick), that you, the Android Owners, would be able to shove it in the face of every iPhone owner and say I have Flash and you don't.

Instead what we have is no 2.2, no flash support and Apple Fan Boys most likely laughing behind our backs because we were crazy enough to bet the farm on what could be called vaporware.

That's what I think this all boils down to.  If 2.2 would have just been a normal upgrade like 2.1 update 1 was, then nobody would have cared.  I think it was the promise of Adobe Flash that is the catalyst.

We don't have and we want it... plain and simple.

Look, it was stated on June 23 that flash would be available after 2.2 came out.  Not before.  And 2.2 is not supposed to be pushed yet.  You need to give facts correctly please.

I've learned from these boards that some Droid Xers are just as annoying, immature, and demanding as iPhone fanboys...trust me, I've been an iPhoner since they came out.

You guys are giving the Apple fanboys a run for their money.
