Oh that Froyo

Maybe someone can answer this question. Reading all these threads about 2.2 I see that there are a variety of problems. One person may ask about their now disfuntional camera. Another may ask about disfunctional sound. Yet another may ask about a disfuntional apps. In short, there seems to be a variety of problems plagueing different Droid X users. It would seem to me that if there was a malfuntion with 2.2, everyone would be experiencing the same problem or problems. Is Motorola, Google and/or Verizon looking into 2.2 and coming up with a fix for all these problems?

I had to give you a Kodos for this one mortb , you have clearified what I have and others been trings also to point out but I like the way you expressed it better, I was always hoping users would notice this pattern, once again nicely expressed point...

Mort, good point.  I agree 100% with you.  Any time I (or others) have brought that up on the forum, not specifically about 2.2 but about the X in general and now with 2.2 we get angry replies from people.

I have not expeirenced the issues some other people are having.

Plus a kudos Mort.

My 2.2 is working great..... And undoubtedly so are hundreds of thousands of Droid X's.......  Because most everyone either downloaded 2.2 by choice or had it "pushed" to them.

The common denominator in the X's with 2.2 that aren't working properly..... not a clue....

I gave the OP kudos too. Verizon should have tested this "update" more thoroughly. Inexcusable. Period. I've been to several other blogs and many, many users are having issues with this update. Now the only viable "solution" is to shift the burden to the end user by having us do a total factory reset wiping everything. Meanwhile there are reports in other forums of experienced users that have done this to no avail. Pathetic.

I guess it was only a matter of time before someone brought up the notion that Verizon released 2.2 to quickly without testing it sufficiently. Where are all the people who were threatening "class action" lawsuits and contacting their state attorneys general regarding Verizon's breach of contract if they didn't release froyo as "promised". "Isn't fun the best thing to have?" Arthur, from the movie by the same name.
