For about the past week my Incredible has not been receiving text messages or voice mails. I tired the *228 reprogramming of the phone, but it had no effect. I have also been unable to install the current version on Android. When it prompts me to reboot, it counts down but fails to reboot.

Hello Villid!
I would be lost without my text messaging! I have some troubleshooting steps to get the phone working again. I would first recommend uninstalling any third party text messaging applications if you have them. Next, try running the phone in safe mode. This will determine if it is an application causing the issue. Finally, if all the other steps do not fix the problem, you would want to hard reset the phone. I will provide links with the hard reset and safe mode steps.
