No sounds ? ?

I know its been talked about on here but I cannot find much info.

My fiance and I both purchased the X on launch.

We have both noticed that the ringer just seems to disappear sometimes for both text and inbound calls.

For me, I reboot the phone and it works but it always eventually goes back to no sound.

I'm guessing one of the fixes when 2.2 comes out?

Anyone else noticed anything like this ?

Otherwise the phone has been great.

This is a common situation that happens when you mount SD card as a USB Mass Storage or PC Mode because the ringers are stored on the card and when the card is mounted using these settings the card and ringers can not be accessed by phone.  It may be wise to use the Charge Only feature when not needing to access the information on card, this should minimize this issue.

I had my phone lose sound for music and playback on recorded video. I also had to reboot to get it to work again. Only happened once so far

Wild, I stored super-cool, super-slick, custom-home-made ringtones on the SD card and when I'm moving a tone around, with both ringers and notifications, I'm given a choice of selecting from Android or Music. If I were to connect the PC in charge-only mode and move those, you know, ringtones of mine into the audio folder of the phone, would I be better off. Perhaps that's why Ringdroid sees them as OGG files?

I may play around with this later. I must now go and see if that Verizon- labeled email I got a little while ago about Froyo is legitimate or someones idea of a joke...
