This update is a joke! I just update last night/this morning and that alone was a nightmare. (My phone completely crashed and I had to take it into a Verizon store for them to do a factory reset.)
Now with the 2.2 update I can't do anything while I'm on a call OTHER THAN BE ON A CALL!
Isn't this supposed to be an amazing phone that DOES what others can't? And wasn't this update supposed to make it even better?
I never had this issue on 2.1.
I tried turning the phone on/off, taking the battery in/out but I still connect to the internet during a call. Can't connect in the browser, the market, facebook---ANYTHING.
Has anyone had this issue and have they found a way to fix it?

I am going to say that you are mistaken unless it was a wifi data connection. Both Voice and Data on VZW run on the same frequency and towers prioritize Voice connections over data. So if you are on a voice call, you cannot connect to data. This has to do with the way CDMA service works, once the LTE/4G roll-out hits Voice and data are supposed to work simultaneously as there is a wider available frequency to use.
If you do not believe us, you are more than welcome to google: Verizon voice and data simultaneous use

Verizon does not have internet available while on a phone call unless it's wifi. It was the same with 2.1 and still same with 2.2. This may be something they go with during their upgrade with the LTE rollout.

I'm 100% positive I used the internet on my phone during calls, countless times. Whether it was through the Wifi or not(which I doubt because I usually would manually turn the off WiF) it's not allowing me to do it now.

In order to access your internet via wifi while on a call, you need to have the browser closed, or connected via wifi before placing the call. If you have it opened and connected via 3G or 1X in the background it will not link to the wifi connection during your call. I've tested it a couple of times and if connected via wifi before call I can browse during call. If browser closed before call and phone connected to wifi before call same results. If I had 3G connected and browser open, I cannot access anything during the call, even if I turn on wifi during the call.
