I don't know what the deal is, but I've got a beautiful $300 brick that will only turn on and off. Verizon seems extremely unable to help me out, despite trying all day long. Wow, no answer since 12/1? Anyway, check all the paperwork that came with the phone. As i recall the sim card was a punch out in a credit card sized piece. Punch it out carefully and take your time inserting it. Directions came with mine. You then have to find a good 3G or 4G area to activate it. Do not use *228. Doesn't work with a sim card. If there is no sim card you can get one at any Verizon store.
Just go into the Verizon store and they will get you a SIM card

Were you able to get one from the store? They normally have plenty there in order to get you all squared away.
